Flow of Time, Space, and Memory
This artwork is the result of a 30-day residency in a rural area of Southern France, where I reflected on our modern dependence on technology for timekeeping and navigation, and sought to restore a more sensorial connection with the land, much like how farmers once did. The central piece—a sequence of paintings depicting the shadows of an oak tree at the same time on different days—symbolizes the passage of time. Surrounding this, I recreated my walking paths using branches collected from the nearby woods, placing audio-visual works of specific locations along these paths. Through this installation, I aim to share my memories of the place and time, inviting the audience to experience the subtle relationship between nature, time, and space.
The residency is supported by CultureMovesEurope and hosted by Au Brana.
